The Athens Science and Education Laboratory was founded in 2002 with the basic aims:

1. The study of the historical development and the philosophical approach of basic notions of Science as well as their teaching methodology
2. The utilization of Information and Communication Technologies in Science Education
3. The design and development of educational material for Science Teaching and Epistemology
4. The holding of training seminars, meetings and conferences in relative fields
